As a result, US presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy has thrown his weight behind Donald Trump in response to the decision by an Colorado court against him. In a video that was recently posted on X (Twitter), Ramaswamy announced his withdrawal from the GOP primary ballot in Colorado.
He also denounced the court’s decision, calling it a “direct assault on democracy” and arguing that some Democratic judges illegally kept Trump off of Wisconsin state ballot.
This unsolicited statement, a part of which Vivek shared as a video declaring publicly that he would withdraw from the Colorado GOP primary ballot until Trump was also added to it, took note in particular of other presidential hopefuls such as Ron DeSantis or indeed Nikki Haley and Chris Christie.
Vivek says that if the Prime Minister left his name in, he would be indicating indirectly to all Indians even by implication what an illegal maneuver this was with its disastrous consequences on our country.
The US Constitution’s insurrection clause may not be held by any person having taken an oath to support the Constitution as ‘an officer of the United States’, and afterwards engaged in insurrection.
Following this ruling by the Colorado Supreme Court, former President Donald Trump was taken off of ballots in Colorado and elsewhere.
Vivek Ramaswamy called the decision to exclude Donald Trump from the ballot in Colorado a genuine attack on democracy. A group of Democratic judges made an un-American, anti-constitutional and never before seen decision said he.
The bipartisan establishment’s new tactic to keep Trump from running for office and being elected is the 14th Amendment, Ramaswamy said.
