The Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) stated that Russia is facing an epidemic of mouse fever among front-line troops. It was said that the outbreak started at Kupyansk, and Ukraine’s officials warned that it is spreading as a result of shortages in winter supplies for soldiers stationed there.
Humans become infected from direct contact with rodents, or inhaling their excrement. Severe headache, high temperature, rashes and redness in the skin area–as well as constipation due to low blood pressure hemorrhages of eyes; frequent nausea and vomiting. According to the Ukrainian Intelligence, these outbreaks are hampering Russia’s military effectiveness.

It is reputed to be spreading between Russia’s front-line forces in the Kupyansk region. The Ukraine claims that a shortage of winter supplies among armed units is also having an effect on its spread here too. Russian commanders also supposedly ignored complaints of the outbreak, regarding them as a ploy to avoid war.
With Ukraine’s armed forces adapting to a holding pattern, strengthening field defenses and struggling in the absence of air support, Russian President Vladimir Putin is now said by some observers to believe that Western allies will lose patience paying for Kyiv’s protracted war effort. Next year there may be another big push from Russia. He has also made the Russian economy ready for just such a potential escalation.
However, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy continues to believe that the United States will provide significant assistance in helping Kyiv resist Russia.
