On Thursday night at Chase Center the Golden State Warriors celebrated with a victory of 120-114 against the Los Angeles Clippers of the legendary triumvirate consisting of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.
This importance was increased by the date, 11-30-23 as it corresponded with the Big Three’s respective uniform numbers. Thus, it made me think about all that they managed to achieve these past twelve years in the Bay Area area.
After winning, they sat down for an interview with NBC Sports Bay Area Warrior announcers Bobby Fitczgerald and Kelenna Azubuike. They commemorated their incredible ride together and went deep on the why of being successful partners in crime.
“At this point, we are all very different persons, but we have one thing in common – we love basketball, so we understand each other’s competitive spirit and desire to win all these years,” Curry commented to Fitzgerald and Azubuike.

Draymond in our sit down a couple of years ago, none of us ever asked anybody to change who they were. We certainly have developed through the years. Everyone has a spot; we work so great together. We are all different on and off court. So it meshed. On a jump, we got that feeling. However, as Greenwood commented, “Blessed to be twelve years in it, all three of us still here.” That’s history right there.”
Green thanked play with Curry and Thompson as a life chance given by career!
According to Green, “to play with the two best shooters in the history of basketball is a privilege.” All it takes is a split second for these players, that is why the screening job and the passing has to make sure there that there is a split second for them to take their shots.
