An anonymous tip to the authorities led a plane in flight from India bound for Nicaragua that was carrying over 300 passengers, nearly all of them Indian nationals. An aircraft bound for the United Arab Emirates was stopped after it had taken off with people suspected of being victims in human trafficking.
Prosecutors confirm that the investigation into this suspected human trafficking case has been turned over to national anti-organised crime unit JUNALCO, which is in charge of investigating Nicaragua-bound plane. Their A340 has been grounded at French Northeastern airport Vatry. The aircraft, operated by Romanian Legend Airlines.

The plane was headed for Nicaragua and had 303 Indian nationals on board when it ran out of fuel. According to a source close to the case, Indian passengers were also onboard planning for Central American passage and perhaps an attempt at illegal entry into the United States or Canada.
The plane was intercepted in France on the basis of a tip-off made anonymously, which authorities believe may have been linked to human trafficking. Investigation has been turned over to the national anti-organized crime unit JUNALCO. The plane is run by Romanian company Legend Airlines.
