Israel should accept the extension, this comes in light with the situation that after Hamas freed some hostages on Sunday night, international pressure is now mounting on the country to accede to an extension on the four-day break in conflict set to expire at Tuesday’s dawn.
In fulfillment of the four-day truce, Hamas will be releasing 11 more Israeli hostages on Monday following its decision to grant freedom to approximately fifty eight hostages, among whom thirty were non-Israelis. Biden has called for further lengthening the truce to promote further aid for Gaza and the liberation of more hostages. According to Biden, “this deal is doing life-saving work and it is designed to be renewed so as to build upon its achievements. It’s our wish to continue suspending them into tomorrow.

Benjamin Netanyahu (Israeli Prime Minister) after he talked to Biden expressed his willingness to prolong the ceasefire for freeing 10 more hostages per day. Netanyahu repeated that Israel would remain committed to the goal of removing Hamas and instigating real changes in Gaza but freeing hostages.
Such truce helps in delivering food and medicines through the Rafah border crossing into Gaza from Egypt. On Sunday, it was announced in Israel that 200 aid trucks entered Gaza. Hamas launched an attack against Israel.
This led to about 1000 casualties and kidnapped at least a 10 of them. As a result, Israel carried out air attacks on Hamas alongside a massive land advance. Hamas controlled Health Ministry asserts that more than fifteen thousand Palestinians have been murdered up to this point in time.
