Om brahmbhatt, a 23-year-old Indian student from South Plainfield, New Jersey is being charged for the alleged murders of his grandparents and uncle. At about nine in the morning, on Monday, police found Brahmbhatt at the condo site where there had been a shootout earlier. An initial investigation by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s office determined it was not a random act of violence, did not present an immediate risk to the public. Police stated that Brahmbhatt was living with the victims.
The location was raided by authorities who found the body of Dilipkumar Brahmbhatt aged 72; his wife, Bindu Brahmbhatt also aged 72; and their son Yashkumar Brahmbhatt aged
One year ago, Om went to study in New Jersey and was living with his relatives, according to NBC New York. His maternal grandfather, Dilipkumar Bhrambhatt, impacted their opinion in this direction.
Om telephoned the police after the shooting and told them that he was “the one” when they asked him who had shot someone. There are currently three cases of first degree murders against him. In the submitted complaint, it is stated that Om resorted to a hand gun that he had purchased through an electronic transaction. On Tuesday during his court session, Om was observed to project an apparently placid outlook.
Om is today being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional facility and police department in South Plainfield is still investigating this matter.
Om Om told them of his killing Dilipkumar and Bindu during their sleep through out the investigations. He later went to another room where he shot Yashukumar in his head severally.
Officials also said, at one point, that Om was an unemployed person who was on his “history of chronic unemployment”.
