The Houthi rebels in Yemen have warned the enemies that any hostile actions towards them will be accompanied by very high prices. These Iran-backed Houthi are in control of large parts of Yemen without international recognition have recently escalated the marine situation by issuing nearly daily assaults against key waterways to strain Israel during this war against the armed Palestine movement of Hamas.
One of the leading members of the Ansarullah politburo, Ali al-Qahoum, stated that Yemen has many ways to prevent any attacks against it, especially those by any American, Israeli or western forces.
The houthies, who are zealous admirers of Palestine claim that they carried out those attacks and say, “…we will not allow a single ship headed towards Israeli ports… till the medicine and food we need in the Gazastrip is delivered”.

We guarantee all ships headed to any port except Israel’s that there will be no trouble, the device must remain working.” “Jake Sullivan says that while the hands point at the Houthi’s they are just being handed the guns by Iran”.
As per Jake Sullivan, the U.S. National Security Advisor, the Houthis posed considerable threat to the freedom of movement along the Red Sea, the most important route carrying bulk oil shipments and other goods. Around 40% goes through it to connect with the red sea, Israel’s southern port and the Suez canal.
Insurance rates for the ships passing through the area have gone up significantly in the past few days, especially for the giant vessels such as oil-tankers which now pay tens of thousands of additional dollars. Commercial vessels do not enjoy such a high degree of protection as compared to warships. There has been an attempt at seizing with success some ships in the Red Sea in November at least once.
