On 23rd evening of November, Dublin, Ireland’s Capital was the scene of a knife attack that led to injuries sustained by at least four people including three children. An “Irish national” with purported Algerian roots committed this assault.
Stabbing incident took place in Dublin city centre on the afternoon of November 23rd leaving three children and a woman injured. Afterwards, another injured accused perpetrator is taken to a nearby hospital after events in Parnell Square.
The girl and a woman were said to have been severely injured among the two injured persons. Grip Media says that he is supposed to be an Algerian from the North African county of Algerie. However, The Irish Times said that the prime suspect is “an Irish citizen who got naturalized” who had been staying in Ireland for two decades.
On the other hand, a recent PBS report claims that the Irish police say that they are not handling the case as a terrorist one.
Some medical authorities say that temples street hospital has started giving emergency treatment for a five years old girl who was injured in the incidents. Furthermore, a 5-year-old male and a 6-year-old female presented their cases at CHI Crumlin hospital. However, the first has recently been released after receiving adequate treatment.

This lady in her thirty, who reportedly works at a school near where it occurred has been treated at the Matter hospital.
The passers-by on the streets were said to have assisted by stopping the perpetrator, disarming him of the knife and casting it to a nearby grassy environment. The police has also noted that they will not be looking for any other suspects since the accused is in custody.
In the midst of all these protests, ant-immigration demonstators also gathered in Dublin leaving their footprints as a way of severely disrupting the use of public transport like having vehicles burnt including buses. The National Bus and Rail Union ordered immediate cessation of all buses in Dublin; Luas and Dublin were also suspended. There were reports from various quarters that some people used vulgar remarks to molest gardai. The Irish Times also reported looting sprees at local stores.Drew Harris described these riots as coming from a lunatic, hooligan faction driven by a far right ideology following increased angst amongst Irish people about illegal immigration due to this stabbing case.
As indicated by a CNN report, protesters could be seen kicking police shields. The Justice minister of Ireland, Helen McEntee referred these protestors as “thugs who are criminals using that attack to divide people and cause chaos in the city”.
Additionally, diverse claims from Western press dubbed these protests as “far-right” causing displeasure and outrage of many Irish on Twitter.
